Life Transitions

Life rarely stays the same for long. Whether you’re welcoming a new child, changing careers, starting college, navigating a separation or divorce, or facing an unexpected shift in your health or circumstances, transitions can be both meaningful and deeply stressful. Even positive changes can bring uncertainty and self-doubt. I work with adults at many different stages of life and take a developmental, whole-person perspective to help you understand not just what is changing, but how that change is affecting you emotionally, relationally, and practically.

Transitions often bring up big questions about identity, purpose, and direction. You might find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or grieving a chapter of life that’s ending—even if you’re also hopeful about what comes next. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to help you process these shifts, sort through competing feelings, and build tools to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I’m comfortable working with people from many backgrounds and in many circumstances, including career changes, relationship changes, new parenthood, empty nesting, relocations, and major life decisions.

Ideally, therapy is a time set aside just for you—a quiet, private space to reflect and regroup. You deserve time and attention devoted to your own well-being, especially during periods of change. That said, life doesn’t always cooperate with ideal conditions, and transitions are often messy and demanding. I’m used to working flexibly and meeting people where they are, whether that means juggling responsibilities, managing uncertainty, or simply trying to get through a particularly demanding season of life. The goal is not just to get through the transition, but to emerge from it feeling more grounded, capable, and aligned with what matters to you.
